The first harvest of the new planting (“virgin harvest”) is a virgin batch that reveals a deep ruby colour and an inky black core in the glass. The intense nose is dominated by black fleshy fruit, with noble oak aromas and earthy, spicy notes. The taste is relatively full and thick, with an almost meaty sensation and a soft texture framing the flavour picture. The finish is also full, with fruity flavours, long fine tannins and very clean flavours.
