I got into the craft of winemaking as a first-generation winemaker. It was my respect and admiration for wine that led me down this path, which I first encountered during my school years. It was then when I began my relationship with wine, organising wine trips for a group of friends, while getting to know many local wineries. I became increasingly interested in the background, viticulture and winemaking, which further increased my interest in the profession. Later, I had the opportunity to take over the well-kept vineyards of a dear friend’s father, who had excellent vineyards. That’s when the “bug bit me”.

Initially, both the cellar and the vineyard were run with the equipment we inherited, which has now been replaced with modern equipment that is more in keeping with the requirements of the modern age. We currently work on 1.5 hectares of vineyards. After a few quiet years in the beginning, 2014 was the first year that I measured myself against the wine-loving public.

My contact with the public is fulfilled at our own wine tastings, where I try to introduce the mysteries of this beautiful profession by presenting the wines produced by our winery.

I believe that wine is born in the vineyard and it is my job to follow the path of the harvest with careful care, so that we can harvest the healthiest and ripest fruit possible. In the cellar, the grapes are selected and gently processed without the addition of yeasts, sugars and additives, and left to ripen with as little intervention as possible until they are at their best after barrique barrel ageing.

I want to show this beauty to everyone. Groups of 2-10 people are welcome to come and chat and learn new things. Participation is possible with advance reservation.

As the vine is constantly changing, so are we, but our entrepreneurial spirit remains a given. We have set up apartments in the heart of Sopron, where we welcome all those who want to get to know the wonderful Sopron Wine Region better, or just spend a few pleasant days in our beloved city.
