Puklusvin Ltd.

At first we made wine as a smallholder producer, then in November 1998 Puklusvin Ltd. was founded, which is still a family business. Initially, we bought the grapes from local farmers. Since then, a generation has aged out. We had to adapt to the changed market situation, so we started to expand our own areas. We have now reached a farm size of 48 ha. This has made us the second largest winery in the Sopron wine region. All but half a hectare of our vineyards are medium-high cordon vineyards less than 10 years old. Our vineyards are located in Fertőszentmiklós. Here the average annual mean temperature is 1 C° higher than in Sopron. Our wines are therefore softer than those produced in other parts of the region.

We use modern technology to make our wines in the traditional way, intervening in natural processes only to the extent necessary and sufficient.

Our bottled wines are aged in oak barrels and the rest in cask-aged tanks. From the 15 varieties of grapes we produce, we make white, red and rosé wines, in dry and semi-sweet varieties. We offer a wide range of products to meet the needs of our customers. Our wines are available in 8 types of packaging from Sopron to Budapest and the northern shore of Lake Balaton. We practically cover the North-West of Transdanubia.
