Iváncsics Cellar
The vineyards of the Iváncsics family are located in the vineyards around Sopron, mainly on the coast of Lake Fertő, and cover an area of about 5 hectares. The largest quantity of Blue Frankish is grown, followed by Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Irsai Olivér. Green Veltliner grapes are produced to make a late harvest sweet wine or ice wine if the vintage is lucky.
They practice gentle, integrated viticulture. The concentration, varietal character and elegant fruitiness of their wines are achieved through yield limitation. The grapes are processed according to the Sopron tradition, in the cellar under the house.
The success and the secret of the Iváncsics Cellar’s red wines lies in barrel ageing. Besides red wines, the range also includes fresh, reductive Merlot rosés. In addition to blue grape varietal wines, blends are also produced. In the wine-shop in addition to the sale of flowing wine, there is also a strong demand for bottled wines. But Iváncsics bottled wines can also be found in the wine cellars and restaurants of Western Hungary.
Their achievements in wine competitions are countless, and they have consistently excelled in national magazine tests.
