Kocsis Winery

Miklós Kocsis is a classic artisan winemaker, who tries to do everything himself on his 21 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are planted with several varieties of grapes: Blue Frankish, Zweigelt, Early Red Veltliner, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Turan, Zenit, Irsai Olivér, “Leányka”, Sauvignon Blanc, Green Veltliner.

The winery is a family heritage, as Miklós Kocsis’ ancestors have also been producing wine. In 1997, he opened his own wine bar and restaurant in his family house in a quiet little street in Sopron, Bercsényi Street.

The Bercsényi wine bar offers both flowing and bottled wines. The winery’s strategic plans include increasing the proportion of bottled wines. In addition to wine, hot food is also available. They can accommodate larger groups of up to 80-90 people in their cosy wine bar.

The majority of the wine is sold in Sopron, but Győr and Szombathely are also important sales markets for Kocsis Winery.
