The history of Lővér Cellar can be measured in centuries. The present winery was founded in 1995, headed by Dezső Magyar. They currently farm around 90 hectares. In addition to the two main grape varieties – Blue Frankish and Green Veltliner – Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Irsai Oliver, Chardonnay and “Királyleányka” are also grown here. The basic principle of the farm is to cultivate the vines without the use of fertilizers and with integrated green crop protection.

The cellar was built in 1862 by Ignác Flandorffer, who made his typical Blue Frankish wines of Sopron here. The cellar later became the property of the State Economy, and since 1995 it has been owned by Lővér Cellars. In addition to the processing and winemaking operations, the complex’s terrace and event room are open for wine tasting. There is also a wine shop in the legendary cellar where you can buy Lővér wines.

Lővér Winery sells in the region and on the Austrian, Swiss and highland markets. In addition to their own shop, they have seven other wine shops in the region.
